Privacy Policy

This policy explains the information GroupGrab uses to operate collective buying, improve the product and protect customers.

Effective October 4, 2026

1. Information you provide

Depending on the feature you use, GroupGrab may receive your email address and account details, products you request or save, quantities you are interested in, delivery or pickup preferences, postal code, shipping address, checkout consent, and information you send through forms or support interactions.

2. Shopping and transaction information

We may keep records of interests, Grabs, orders, price quotes, fulfillment choices, refunds and transaction status so we can operate the service and maintain an accurate account history. Payment details are processed through payment providers such as Stripe; GroupGrab is not designed to store full payment-card numbers on its own application servers.

3. First-party analytics

GroupGrab uses first-party analytics to understand how the site is used and improve shopping flows. This can include page views, anonymous and session identifiers, signed-in user identifiers, referring website host, campaign parameters, device class, browser family, product or deal viewed, and actions such as searches, shares, product requests, onboarding steps and checkout steps when those events are instrumented.

We do not intentionally use this analytics system to collect precise GPS location, contact lists, health information, message contents, or full payment-card data. We also sample page performance timings and layout stability for a subset of eligible visitors without collecting their message contents or checkout details.

4. Voluntary launch interest and email updates

If you join a launch-interest list, we store the email address you enter, the product category or requested product you choose, the page where you joined, and the date and wording of your consent. We use this information to evaluate demand and to contact you about relevant offers once there is something confirmed to share. Joining does not create an account, reserve inventory, or authorize payment. These email interests are not a guarantee that a product will launch. You can unsubscribe from interest updates with the secure link provided in any launch-interest email. Future promotional emails will include that link. You may also request information about your data through the Help Center. We do not publish signup email addresses or use them as public social proof.

Verified customer reviews

Only buyers with a paid, completed delivery may submit product ratings and feedback. Reviews are moderated before public display. Published reviews do not expose the buyer's email address or order number. We do not create fictional reviews or ratings.

Anonymous website feedback

If you choose to complete our optional usability test, we store your selected device category, clarity rating, description of how you understood the service, ability to find a product, any optional suggestions and submission time. The form does not request a name or email address. We use these responses to improve the website. Limited abuse-prevention information may be processed transiently and an irreversible rate-limit key retained to protect the form from automated submissions.

5. How we use information

  • Operate accounts, group demand, pricing and checkout.
  • Source products and understand what customers want.
  • Provide delivery, pickup, transaction and account support.
  • Detect abuse, secure the service and troubleshoot errors.
  • Measure marketing and product performance.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

6. Suppliers and service providers

We may share information with service providers when needed to operate GroupGrab, including payment processing, hosting, authentication, analytics, fulfillment, shipping and customer-support providers. Suppliers should receive only information reasonably needed to verify or fulfill an approved transaction.

7. Advertising and retargeting

GroupGrab does not currently sell personal information for money. We may use first-party shopping activity to build internal audience segments such as repeat visitors, product viewers, interested buyers or checkout visitors. Personalized advertising or customer-list retargeting is kept separate from ordinary analytics and is used only for accounts that are marked eligible for retargeting. The current website does not intentionally deploy third-party cross-site advertising pixels. If those technologies are added, we will update this policy and provide any legally required notice, consent or opt-out controls before activation.

8. Cookies and local storage

GroupGrab may use browser storage or similar technologies for sign-in state, preferences, anonymous analytics identifiers, session identifiers and essential product functionality. Additional consent controls may be added where required for nonessential technologies.

9. Data retention

We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including transaction records, security, fraud prevention, accounting, dispute handling and legal obligations. Retention periods will be formalized as GroupGrab moves from pilot to paid launch.

10. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, or information about certain uses of personal information. Signed-in customers can initiate account deletion from Account → Profile and see the request status there while it is processed. Transaction or dispute records may be retained where required. GroupGrab will publish a dedicated channel for other privacy requests before paid ordering opens. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right provided by applicable law.

11. Security

We use technical and organizational measures intended to protect information, but no online service can promise absolute security. Customers should protect access to their email account and device because GroupGrab sign-in may rely on secure email links.

12. Children

GroupGrab is intended for adults who can make purchase commitments. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly seek personal information from children under 13.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as GroupGrab adds features, vendors, fulfillment methods or legally required privacy controls. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.
